Jonathan Sokoloff joined private equity firm Leonard Green & Partners in 1990. LGP, a leading investment firm founded in 1989, focuses on service and retail companies and has invested in more than 90 businesses via traditional buyouts, recapitalizations and growth equity, among other methods. Prior to joining LGP, Sokoloff was a managing director in corporate finance at Drexel Burnham Lambert, which he joined in 1985. Earlier stints in his career include serving as a principal of Hambrecht & Quist and working at Merrill Lynch & Co. Sokoloff serves on the boards of various companies, including the Container Store Group Inc. and Shake Shack Inc. He serves as a trustee of Williams College.
