Janis Pamiljans has been corporate vice president and president of Aerospace Systems for Northrop Grumman Corp. since last year. Pamiljans leads the company’s Aerospace Systems unit in Redondo Beach, which works on manned and unmanned aircraft systems, space systems and other advanced technologies. The unit has 23,000 employees based in Redondo Beach; El Segundo; Palmdale; San Diego; Bethpage, N.Y.; and Melbourne and St. Augustine, Fla. He is also a member of Northrop Grumman’s Corporate Policy Council. Pamiljans is a 30-year veteran of Northrop Grumman who got his start working on the B-2 program, and has led many of the company’s major manned and unmanned aircraft programs. He was general manager of strategic systems at Aerospace Systems prior to being named to his current position. Pamiljans has a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical operations from San Jose State University, graduated from the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program, and completed the Duke University Advanced Management Program and the Defense Science Management College in Acquisition Management.
