Shares in House of Taylor Jewelry surged more than 9 percent Friday after the company announced that it hired Bob Rankin as the company’s new chief financial officer.
Rankin succeeds Pauline Schneider, who will remain as a consultant to the company, which sells jewelry designed by movie icon Elizabeth Taylor and others.
Rankin was most recently chief financial officer at Culver City-based Small World Kids Inc.
Shares in the Hollywood company were up 21 cents, or 9 percent, to $2.46 in afternoon trading Friday on the Nasdaq.
