It’s that time of year again: we all have a chance to reinvent ourselves with the coming of a new year. Some make resolutions to improve their business, some make resolutions to improve their personal lives and some actually keep their resolutions for more than two weeks. The Business Journal asks:
What’s your New Year’s resolution?

I resolve to stop emotionally beating myself up for not meeting the standards for last year’s resolutions. If that doesn’t work, then next year’s resolution will be to set real low-bar resolutions for the following year.

To take more vacations, for one thing. To go into training for next New Year’s. And to add to my fun sock collection. I guess as soon as my clients read this, there goes the vacation but at least I’ll still have the socks.

To do things better. To have a bit more time with my family and to have a healthy and prosperous year.

I can be very succinct. My New Year’s resolution for 1999: E! Online World Domination. It’s that simple.

Probably my biggest New Year’s resolution would be to spend more time networking with professionals in real estate and real estate finance, and to stay in touch more regularly with my clients. Then, of course, I would like to spend more quality time with my family. Since this is the business-oriented Los Angeles Business Journal and not Family Circle, I’m putting that resolution last.

Well, I don’t have to lose weight, so my resolution is going to be work-related. I would like to excel in my job, which would mean that I would be able to bring awareness to Jewish Television Network programming. Also, I have never been to Israel, and I would like to go.

Mine is to enjoy what I have right now and not worry about what I don’t have. I want to focus on all of the good things in my life and not sweat the problem areas, because there’s nothing I can do about them anyway.
