Ben Benya has been appointed executive vice president and director of client services at DavisElen. He was vice president and media director prior to the promotion. Benya was with TBWA/Chiat Day and Bozell/Jacobs before joining DavisElen.

Jane Galbraith has joined the Los Angeles office of Stoorza, Ziegaus & Metzger Inc. as account supervisor. Galbraith served as director of executive communications for Sony Pictures Entertainment and was a correspondent for the Daily Variety and New York Newsday prior to joining the public relations agency.

Banking & Finance

Yuna L. Erickson has been appointed vice president and loan officer of the Bank of Hollywood’s Toluca Lake office. She was with Transworld Bank prior to joining the Bank of Hollywood.

First Federal Savings of San Gabriel Valley has appointed Michael A. Quigley senior vice president in charge of retail banking. He most recently served as executive vice president and chief savings officer for CenFed Bank FSB in Pasadena. Quigley will administer the association’s branch network, develop new products and services and oversee marketing and administrative services.

Belinda Moffatt has been named vice president and manager of Harbor Bank’s Marina office in Long Beach. The bank has also promoted Julie C. Graham to assistant vice president and assistant manager of the Long Beach office.

Consulting

Price Waterhouse LLP has added several partners to its Los Angeles office. Gerald B. Barbo in tax consulting; Matthew R. Lynde in dispute analysis and corporate recovery; Richard G. Dorion in management consulting; Thomas G. McGuinness in world energy and H. Chip Lightfoot in managing tax.

Entertainment

Leslie H. Anderson has been promoted to senior vice president of marketing administration for the Motion Picture Group of Paramount Pictures. She will be responsible for financial and administrative matters relating to motion picture marketing. Prior to her promotion, she served as vice president of marketing administration.

Michael G. Corrigan has been named senior executive vice president and chief financial officer of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. Formerly with Price Waterhouse LLP, Corrigan worked in the entertainment industry financial planning and transaction area for the firm.

Dove Entertainment Inc. has appointed Ron Lightstone acting chief executive officer. Lightstone previously served as senior vice president of Viacom International Inc.

Franklin R. Johnson has joined Rysher Entertainment as chief financial officer. He will be responsible for Rysher’s domestic and international financial operations. Prior to joining Rysher, Johnson served as a partner at Price Waterhouse LLP with responsibility for the firm’s services to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences, including supervision of the balloting and telecast appearances to deliver the results for the Academy Awards.

J.J. Jamieson has been named president of Avenue Pictures Television, a division of Avenue Entertainment Group Inc. Prior to joining Avenue, Jamieson was the director of mini-series and motion pictures for television at NBC.

David G. Johnson has been promoted to senior executive vice president and general counsel of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. His responsibilities include identification and development of merger acquisitions, investments and joint venture opportunities for MGM and its subsidiaries. Prior to his promotion, he served as executive vice president and general counsel of MGM.

Health Care

UniHealth has named Arnold R. Schaffer president and chief executive officer of Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center. Schaffer served as chief executive officer of Encino-Tarzana Regional Medical Center prior to joining Glendale Memorial. He will oversee the hospital’s acute-care services including the Glendale Heart Center, the Women’s Services Center and Emergency Center.

Thomas Mone has been named president and chief executive officer of San Gabriel Valley Medical Center. He previously served as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He will oversee emergency care, a cardiac pavilion, a behavioral medicine center and eye care center.

High-Tech/Aerospace

En Pointe Technologies Inc. has named Adrian Danescu chief of technology. Danescu served as vice president and director of network and distributed services for Norwest Services Inc. prior to joining En Pointe. En Pointe Technologies Inc. has also appointed Jacob Stettin general counsel. Stettin was in private practice before joining En Pointe and practiced in the areas of acquisitions, joint ventures, international transactions and compliance.

Insurance

J & H; Marsh & McLennan, a global risk management and insurance-services firm, has appointed James W. McElvany manager of its operations in the U.S. Pacific south region. He will oversee operations in California, Arizona and Nevada from the Los Angeles office.

Legal

Eugene Y.C. Lu has joined the law firm of Sidley & Austin as a partner in the corporate and banking practice. His practice includes project finance, commercial transactions and international joint ventures.

Harriet M. Welch has joined the Los Angeles law firm of Arter & Hadden as a partner. She practices in the areas of municipal, project and asset back finance law.

Personnel

Peggy Baggott has joined Abacus Staffing for Accounting as managing partner. Baggott will oversee development and expansion at Abacus, a division of Ultimate Staffing Services. She served as vice president of operations and sales at Accountants Overload prior to joining Abacus.

Publishing

Christine Oldenbrook has been promoted to vice president of circulation and database marketing for Bobit Publishing Co. Bradford Stauffer has been named general manager and director of operations of the Redondo Beach-based publishing company.

Real Estate

Insignia Financial Group Inc. has named Kevin P. Kaseff senior director of acquisitions. He will identify and oversee the joint venture acquisition of individual real estate assets and portfolios. Insignia has also named Stan Yoshihara director of property management. Yoshihara previously served as regional vice president at PM Realty Group.

O’Brien Kreitzberg, a company of the Dames & Moore Group, has named Ruth Hobbs senior vice president. Hobbs has been with O’Brien Kreitzberg and worked on construction projects for airports, highways, schools and water treatment facilities.

Joseph J. Scarano has joined 3D/International Inc. as senior vice president to manage the company’s southern California regional operations, Karsten Hutman 3D/I. He has managed projects at UCLA and Stanford University and the retrofit and restoration of city halls in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles before joining 3D/International Inc.

Tourism

The Omni Los Angeles Hotel & Centre has named Clifton J. DesHotel director of marketing. He will oversee the hotel’s marketing, advertising and public relations programs. Prior to joining the Moon, DesHotel served as general manager of London-based PIPT/Hocaps, a hotel and catering consulting company.
