In the Advertising and P.R. column of June 21, a downtown wallscape sign donated by Eller Media Co. and currently running an ad from the “Message From God” campaign was incorrectly categorized. The building had a billboard painted on it before the city of Los Angeles passed its sign ordinance in 1987 and therefore it was “grandfathered” into the ordinance. It is a legal sign.
