Hilton Hotels Corp.’s Chief Executive Stephen Bollenbach has been elected to the board of Macy’s Inc.
Bollenbach, 64, has been co-chairman of Hilton since 2004, and has served as CEO since joining the company in 1996. He succeeds William Stiritz, who stepped down at the shareholders meeting in May. Stiritz is 72, the mandatory retirement age for Macy’s directors. He is the former CEO of Agribrands International Inc.
Prior to joining Hilton, Bollenbach’s positions included chief financial officer of Walt Disney Co., CEO of Host Marriott Corp. and chief financial officer of the Trump Organization. He was elected the first ever non-executive chairman of Los Angeles-based homebuilder KB Home’s board in April.
Bollenbach, who lives in Los Angeles, holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from UCLA and a master’s degree in management from California State University, Northridge.
