Crown Media’s CFO Resigns
William Aliber has resigned as chief financial officer of Crown Media Holdings, Inc. Crown Media, which is based in Greenwood Village, Colo., owns and operates the Studio City-based Hallmark Channel. Crown still hasn’t announced a successor to former CEO David Evans, who left in June. Earlier this year, Chris Moseley, the Hallmark Channel’s veteran executive vice president and chief marketing officer, also stepped down. Aliber’s resignation is effective September 30. Brian Stewart, senior vice president and CFO of Crown Media United States, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, was appointed as interim CFO. Shares in Crown Media closed down 21 cents, or nearly 5 percent, at $4.05.
Digital Insight Settles Arbitration
Online banking provider Digital Insight Corp. has settled the escrow arbitration claims and related legal proceedings involving the former stockholders of Magnet Communications following Digital Insight’s purchase of Magnet in 2003. Under terms of the agreement, the Calabasas-based company recovered 119,834 of its common shares that have been held in escrow since the Magnet acquisition closed in November 2003. The balance of the escrow will be distributed to the former Magnet stockholders.
Capstone CEO Resigns
Capstone Turbine said that chief executive John Tucker has submitted his resignation, effective July 31, citing personal reasons. Mark Gilbreth, the executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Chatsworth-based microturbine energy systems maker, will serve as president and CEO until a replacement has been found, the company said. Tucker also agreed to serve in a consulting capacity until July 31of next year to assist with the transition.
