Avi Shemesh, with a real estate investing history that stretches back more than 25 years, co-founded CIM Group in 1994. He heads the firm’s investments group and serves on the firm’s investment and asset management committees. He also oversees the day-to-day operations of CIM, including strategic initiatives, property management and leasing, and investor relations. He previously co-founded Dekel Development, which handled a variety of commercial and multifamily properties in Los Angeles. CIM’s recent projects in Los Angeles include a 23,000-square-foot space at the CityNational@2Cal building in downtown for Serendipity Labs Coworking; a 34 story, 525-unit apartment tower at 888 S. Hope, which is scheduled to be complete this year; and the Sunset La Cienega mixed-use project that includes a hotel, a 190-unit residential complex and retail space.
