Bank of America has named both Carl Ceder and Clark D. Brown vice president and private consultant in its private banking and investment services group. Both will work with Bank of America’s retail bank customers to provide wealth management solutions to affluent clients. Ceder previously was an investment specialist at the company. He will be based in Encino. Brown previously was vice president and product manager at City National Bank in Beverly Hills. He will be based in downtown Los Angeles.

Henry J. Jurgens has been named senior vice president and head of the International Department at Sanwa Bank California. Jurgens will direct the bank’s international banking strategy focusing on California-based companies that require financial services in overseas markets. He previously was senior vice president and division manger at Union Bank of California’s international banking group. Also, Patrick J. McNicholas has been named vice president of credit administration at the bank’s Real Estate Industries Division. McNicholas will oversee real estate-related credit quality, portfolio management, loan structuring and distribution, and credit training. They will both be based in Los Angeles.

Energy

Mark L. Hazelwood has been named senior vice president at Atlantic Richfield Co. Hazelwood previously was president of Arco Alaska Pipelines (AAP). In addition to his new responsibilities concerning external affairs operations, he will continue to provide direction to AAP and remain chairman of the Owners Committee of the Trans Alaska Pipeline System. He will be based in Los Angeles.

Entertainment

Theresa Welty has been named vice president at Wind Dancer Films in Burbank. Welty will be responsible for acquisition, development and production of film projects. She previously was director of TV development at the company.

Shadowrock Productions has named Kathryn Bishop and Michael Terry co-executive producers. Bishop will be responsible for bidding, production and post production. She previously was head of production at the company. Terry will direct sales and oversee agency relations. He joins the company from Aviator Pictures in Vancouver. They will both be based in Beverly Hills.

Courtney B. Conte has been promoted to executive vice president of production at the Carsey-Werner Co. In this newly created position, Conte will be responsible for overall supervision of the company’s physical production on its current television programming. He previously was senior vice president of production, and will be based in Studio City.

David Ladd has been named feature producer for MGM-owned MGM Pictures and United Artists Pictures. Ladd will produce motion pictures and be responsible for bringing projects to the respective film units. He previously was executive vice president at the company. He will be based in Santa Monica.

Alice H. Lusk has been named senior vice president and chief technology officer at Universal Studios in Universal City. Lusk will oversee efforts geared toward new technologies, as well as managing the company’s business systems, computing and communications infrastructure. She previously was senior vice president of business solutions at NCR Corp.

Jonathan L. Krobot has been named account executive, western region at Tribune Entertainment Co. Krobot will be responsible for syndication sales at the company. He previously was advertising account executive at Sullivan Broadcasting. He will be based in Los Angeles.

Health Care

Dr. Edmond Hewlett has been named chair of restorative dentistry at UCLA School of Dentistry. Hewlett will continue his responsibilities as associate professor of dentistry, and, for his added duties for the restorative dentistry section, will be responsible for ensuring the scientific and technical training of students, as well as overseeing the section’s research focus. He will be based in Los Angeles.

Edward R. Jones has been named director of clinical services at PacifiCare Behavioral Health Inc. Jones will oversee all clinical services provided to members nationwide. He previously was executive director at Behavioral Health Network, and will be based in Van Nuys.

Human Resources

Tami Corbin has joined Disney Channel as director of human resources. Corbin will oversee all human resource functions for the company, including recruiting, training and employee relations. She previously was director of employee relations at Disney Consumer Products, and will be based in Burbank.

Manufacturing

William K. Sales will join Reliance Steel & Aluminum Co. as vice president, and will be based in Los Angeles. Sales will oversee the company’s non-ferrous operations. He previously served as manager at Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp.

Media

Carol Perruso has been named general manager of latimes.com, the Web site of the Los Angeles Times. Perruso will be responsible for overall direction of the site and management of all advertising, marketing, technical and customer service areas. She previously was general manager of Times on Demand, which includes the newspaper’s research service and custom-publishing unit. She will be based in Los Angeles.

Real Estate

Jeffrey M. Axtell has been named project director at Vestar Development Co. Axtell will be responsible for assisting in the continued growth of the company’s new shopping center development. Axtell joins the company from the Seeley Co., where he headed the retail brokerage division. He will be based in Cerritos.

Jeffrey D. Gershon has been named partner and senior vice president at TOLD Partners Inc. Gershon will specialize in commercial sales and leasing. He previously was marketing executive at The Seeley Co.

Retail

Wallace Steiner has been named vice president of the southwest region of Tiffany & Co. Steiner will oversee the jewelry chain’s stores in Beverly Hills, Costa Mesa and San Diego. He previously served as vice president of western region in New York. In his new position, he will be based in Beverly Hills.

Gerry Good has been joined Smart & Final Inc. as executive vice president of marketing/concept development. Good will be based in Los Angeles, and will oversee and provide strategic direction to the company’s marketing, buying, merchandising, distribution and corporate brands departments. He joins the company from The Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company Inc., where he was executive vice president of merchandising and marketing.

Tourism

Bernard J. Murphy has been promoted to senior vice president of corporate compliance at Hilton Hotels Corp. In his new position, Murphy will oversee corporate compliance for the company’s hotel and gaming divisions, and will be the corporate liaison between all gaming regulatory agencies and the corporation. He previously served as vice president of corporate compliance, and will be based in Beverly Hills.
