Jewish Tunes: The Skirball Cultural Center presents Music From the Jewish Diaspora and the Balkans on Feb. 29. Featuring musicians from CalArts and the Los Angeles area, the eclectic show presents contemporary versions of Jewish folk music from around the world, from 15th century Spain to present-day New York, and includes Bulgarian dances and Macedonian songs. Rumble Pix: Muhammed Ali made history in his October 1974 bout with George Foreman in Zaire, forever known as “the rumble in the jungle.” This show of 130 photos taken by Howard L. Bingham shows Ali at his prime along with such figures as James Brown, Don King and Zaire’s then-President Mobutu Sese Seko. At the UCLA Fowler Museum of Cultural History through Sep. 3.
