Relativity Architects
Ginna Claire Nguyen runs the day-to-day operations as associate principal of Relativity Architects, a 50-person DTLA firm that specializes in designing affordable housing, production studios, hospitality and institutional projects. Nguyen’s duties include overseeing design direction among the firm’s architects, project management, studio development, administration and training. She was the firm’s fifth employee, hired a year after its inception as director of design. She advanced to studio director and was recently promoted to associate principal.
Nguyen has been a team leader on several award-winning projects, including the 2020 Architecture Masterprize Award in the Social Housing category for Imagine Village Apartments, a forward-thinking affordable-housing community for families and military veterans in Lancaster. The innovative 7th & Witmer Apartments near Skid Row, the first project in Los Angeles to employ a combined greywater/stormwater system, was also an Urban Land Institute Jack Kemp Award finalist for Affordable Housing.
