Meg Lodise is known for handling some of the most complex, high-dollar trusts and estates disputes through trial and appeal. It’s not uncommon for opposing counsel to refer her clients when there is a conflict of interest, demonstrating Lodise’s level of expertise and respect in the trusts and estates community. This respect was underscored by her appointment by the Probate Court as Guardian Ad Litem for the children of entertainer Michael Jackson from 2009 to 2020. In this role, Lodise advocated for the best interests of the performer’s two sons and daughter due to disputes over Jackson’s affairs. Recognized as an industry leader, Lodise is active in developing laws and policies related to estate, trust, probate and conservatorship issues. As chair of the preeminent, invitation-only American College of Trust and Estate Counsel’s Amicus Briefs committee, she aims to improve laws, procedures and professional responsibility.
