Dr. Laila Al-Marayati has maintained a commitment to providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to underserved and marginalized women in Los Angeles throughout her career. She developed and oversaw a large, collaborative practice between physicians and certified nurse midwives at a large, urban hospital in downtown Los Angeles for over 15 years and has consistently focused on multi-disciplinary safety measures to improve outcomes for high-risk pregnant women. As a leader at Keck and the Keck School of Medicine, one of her goals is to make women’s reproductive health at Keck and KSOM a priority for women of all socioeconomic backgrounds.
