Valerie Goo has been practicing for nearly 25 years. After graduating from UCLA Law School in 1996, she has spent her career specializing in intellectual property and commercial litigation. Over the years, Goo has seen an uptick in intellectual property claims – in particular, trade secrets and trademark cases. She currently represents several large companies in the computer and aerospace fields, in complex, technical trade secrets cases and fiercely fought trademark cases between competitors. A recent example of her successes includes her work as lead counsel for Similasan Corporation, a homeopathic products maker, in a “bet-the-company” Lanham Act false advertising and trademark infringement case against competitor TRP Company over the right to use the product name “Pink Eye Relief.” Goo recently won summary judgment on all claims brought against
her client and counterclaims for cancellation of the plaintiff’s federal trademark registrations.
