Laura Whelan joined Savills in 2007 and currently directs project and construction management for clients in industries from healthcare to technology, advertising, media and information. In her 13 years with the firm, Whelan has completed over two million square feet of real estate transactions. She has managed projects for multiple biotech firms which more recently have included cancer research facilities and companies manufacturing cancer therapies.
Whelan has found a particular sense of accomplishment working on projects such as these – ones that benefit humanity and the greater good. In her view, it is so critical that these facilities get up and running quickly and efficiently, and her work representing these tenants can help enable clinical trials and literally save lives when done correctly. She loves being a part of something so meaningful in the bigger picture of the world.
