Jennifer Richards leads Crowe’s effort in its Western region to serve higher education entities, private foundations, public agencies, and other charitable organizations, with a focus on the Los Angeles market. When California declared a state of emergency over the coronavirus pandemic, Richards helped advise not-for-profit clients during the crisis. This included providing tax and business advice, helping clients navigate the Paycheck Protection Program and related loans and understand the complexities of the CARES Act and other federal grant programs, and identify cybersecurity risks.
In addition, Richards has served as a nationwide trainer and recruiter on Crowe’s behalf at many of Southern California’s largest universities. This includes development of a mock audit activity that has been conducted by Crowe with students at local universities including University of Southern California and University of Redlands.
