Julie R. F. Gerchik was born and raised here in Los Angeles, but is a dual citizen of both the United States and Great Britain. She obtained several degrees in the U.S. and England. After finishing her law degree at Oxford followed by an L.L.M. in civil rights and civil liberties at NYU, SHE joined a think tank in New York where she conducted opposition research for four years, often going on intelligence-gathering missions.
When Gerchik returned to L.A., she began practicing law and joined Latham & Watkins. She worked at Latham for more than a decade before moving to Glaser Weil. Now a litigation partner, she focuses her practice on all types of complex commercial matters including financial institution matters, securities litigation and regulatory matters, real estate and developer disputes, investigations, and entertainment, employment, technology, and IP matters. Gerchik is admitted to both the California and New York bars.
