Christiane Kinney started out as a musician before she became a music attorney and advocate for other artists. Her experience on both sides of the fence is a comfort to her clients, who consider her a trusted advisor and confidant who uniquely understands the struggles and victories they go through as artists. Representing both major and independent artists, she is known for being innovative and creative in her approach to making deals for her clients. She played a major role in closing two multi-million dollar music catalog sales, both on the seller’s side, handling the due diligence for each sale. She also acted as co-counsel for Experience Hendrix, LLC and Authentic Hendrix, LLC in a major litigation dispute against Andrew Pitsicalis, Leon Hendrix, and various defendants venued in the Southern District of New York, which ultimately settled with a $2 million judgment and a permanent injunction.
