As the chief operating officer and general counsel for Optimist, Inc., John Levy works at the intersection of law and business. Founded in 2009, Optimist architects next level brand experiences. The independently-owned creative agency employs over 150 thinkers, doers and makers across seven offices globally. Optimist’s robust offerings include design, fabrication, creative services, content production, digital strategy, and event production. As the chief operating officer and general counsel, Levy is responsible for and oversees all of the company’s legal, human resources, and operations functions.
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, L.A. is Levy’s home now. He has a B.A. (economics) from the University of Vermont (2000), a J.D. from the University of Cincinnati College of Law (Top 15 of class, Law Review, 2004), and an MBA from the University of Southern California (IBEAR scholarship award, Beta Gamma Sigma honor society, 2014).
