Guthrie Paterson serves as Trace3’s chief development and legal officer, and is responsible for corporate development, business development, sales operations, legal and strategic projects. In this role, Paterson leads and empowers teams focused on advancing and growing Trace3’s business, as well as securing new and mature business lines. Paterson joined Trace3 in 2010 as its first in-house attorney, and has served the company in a wide range of roles including COO, CFO, EVP, operations and general counsel.
Paterson’s legal accomplishments at Trace3 include building and leading a legal team processing more than $1.2 billion per year in client and vendor commercial transactions. He has successfully resolved more than $30 million of threatened and actual litigation claims with no adverse financial impact. He also led the legal negotiations and financial diligence efforts for Trace3’s 2017 leveraged recapitalization transaction with H.I.G. Capital.
