Telemundo No. 1 in Los Angeles Market

Telemundo Network’s KVEA (Channel 52) was the highest rated local news and prime time network in the 10 p.m. slot in the Los Angeles market for the prior broadcast season, the first time a Spanish language network was No. 1, according to Telemundo.

Telemundo Network told the Business Journal Sept. 20 that its afternoon local news casts at 5 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Monday to Friday, late local news at 11 p.m. Monday to Sunday, and 10 p.m. prime time programming on Monday to Friday each topped the Los Angeles market’s Nielsen ratings.

The ratings are based on the Nielsen Company’s broadcast season ratings from Sept. 16, 2017 to Sept. 16, 2018, and have not been publicly disclosed.

Telemundo and NBCUniversal are each owned by Comcast Corp.
