Jeff Babione is the vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Corp.’s Advanced Development Programs – also known as Skunk Works. Babione is a 25-year veteran of the aerospace company. He previously was vice president and general manager of Lockheed’s F-35 Program, where he oversaw the development, production and sustainment efforts across the three F-35 variants for 13 military services in nine partner countries, and a growing list of foreign military sales customers. The F-35 team under Babione’s leadership, supported many customer milestones, including the initial operational capability announcements for the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Marine Corps and Israeli Air Force, and the recent first aircraft arrivals to Norway and Japan. He holds a bachelor’s degree in aerospace and ocean engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; a Master’s degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Washington; and a MBA from the University of Tennessee.
