Travers Cresa
James Travers founded Travers Realty Corp. in 1978 and served as its chairman until 2014 when the real estate firm merged with Cresa Partners to form Travers Cresa. Travers Realty successfully negotiated more than $11 billion in real estate transaction, specializing in tenant representation services for corporations and professional services firms. Travers is a frequent speaker on real estate panels.
What was your proudest moment?
Representing SunAmerica for over 20 years. One of the highlights was relocating SunAmerica to Century City in the top five floors of 1999 Avenue of the Stars. After two years of persistent negotiations and overcoming many obstacles, we were able to achieve SunAmerica’s main goals and objectives. Top of the building signage and a real estate transaction that met the terms and conditions for SunAmerica, which was proven to be 15 percent less than all the previous transactions negotiated in the building.

Just celebrated our 40th year anniversary and looking forward to continuing maintaining our core values of just representing tenants in their real estate transactions.

Los Angeles is a wide-open city which provides great opportunity for everyone that has an idea, a niche and the persistency to succeed can accomplish their dreams.
