San Gabriel Valley’s industrial vacancy rate grew a bit in the fourth quarter, ticking up to 0.9 percent from 0.7 percent the prior quarter, and compared with 2 percent in the year-earlier period. Class A rents stayed fairly steady at 58 cents a square foot from 56 cents in the third. About 2.4 million square feet were sold or leased and there were 1.8 million square feet under construction.
-Kerrie Speck sold a 102,617-square-foot food-processing building at 17380 E. Railroad St. to Spire Properties and DC Railroad, co-owners of Rice Field Corp., for $14.1 million.
-Sack Properties sold an 85-unit apartment building at 2900 E. Virginia Ave. in West Covina to Gemdale USA Corp. for $26.3 million.
-Alu-mont Furniture MFR Corp. sold an 111,560-square-foot industrial property at 5400 N. Irwindale Ave. in Irwindale to the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association for $13.9 million.
