Los Angeles’ Hyperloop Technologies said yesterday it was closing an $80 million funding round and changing its name to Hyperloop One in advance of a public test today of its transportation technology. The name change, meant to distinguish it from competitor Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, also of Los Angeles, comes as the business said it has more than 150 at its L.A. headquarters and Nevada test facility, CNN Money reports.
