As Hollywood stars and moviemakers battle it out for Golden Globe Awards this Sunday, another fight is underway in Los Angeles – to throw the best entertainment industry party of Globes weekend.

The star-studded bashes begin Saturday and include Sean Penn gathering pals from film, music and politics at the Montage Beverly Hills for a Haitian Relief benefit; Johnny Depp and James Franco attending a gala for nonprofit Art of Elysium at Culver City event space 3 Labs; and a tea party for nominees and guests thrown at the Four Seasons by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles.

The main event will take place at the Beverly Hilton Sunday evening and the major studios and networks have booked out areas of the hotel for elegant post-show celebrations attended by celebrities, influencers and executives.

HBO has landed the Hilton’s Circa 55 restaurant while Amazon Studios has the Stardust Ballroom. Netflix, which has the most nominations in the TV categories with eight, has erected a giant tent over the hotel’s back parking lot for its joint party with Weinstein Co., the company behind “Carol,” the most nominated movie in the film section of the awards with five.

The 73rd annual Golden Globe Awards, held by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and hosted by Ricky Gervais, will be screened live on NBC at 5pm on Sunday.
