El Segundo ad tech firm Vantage Media has sold its education services business to Santa Monica’s Campus Explorer, a college resource platform for students.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
With its real-time bidding platform for advertisers and buyers, Vantage Media said it is the second-fastest growing ad tech company in the United States with more than $100 million in revenue.
“We shifted to the RTB bidding focus three years ago with the introduction of our platform where advertisers can bid on active buyers in real-time,” said Patrick Quigley, Vantage Media’s chief executive, in a statement. “This sale of our legacy business is the last part of that shift in our focus.”
Vantage Media’s education business helps advertisers find the right buyers among students. Campus Explorer is a free service that helps students, parents and counselors find the right college.
