DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES
Fashion Deal: Sequential Brands Group Inc., a downtown L.A. licensing and branding company, has signed a licensing agreement with Sunrise Brands LLC, a downtown apparel conglomerate. Sequential will be adding the Sunrise products, men’s and women’s apparel, and backpacks, to its People’s Liberation brand.
Lease Renewal: Wells Fargo Bank has renewed its lease for nearly 291,000 square feet at Wells Fargo Tower, a 54-story office building in the Bunker Hill area of downtown Los Angeles. The 10-year lease covers its current office, museum and retail space at the tower, at 333 S. Grand Ave. Financial terms of the lease were not disclosed.
Building Sold: Lone Star Real Estate Fund II LLC has sold a Mid-Wilshire residential building for $5.4 million to Rampart Village Lofts LLC. The property, at 601-603 S Rampart Blvd., totals 53,168 square feet and was built in 1911.
EAST LOS ANGELES
SBA Approval: Pan American Bank, the only bank headquartered in East Los Angeles, has been approved by the Small Business
Administration as an SBA lender. Pan
American plans to serve small businesses in the city, and Los Angeles and Orange
Safety Support: Walt Disney Co., the Burbank entertainment giant, has donated $1 million to the American Red Cross to help families prepare for disasters and other emergencies. The donation is going to the Red Cross Pillowcase Preparedness Program as well as other youth services.
SAN FERNANDO VALLEY
New Eatery: Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants Inc., a Dallas-based restaurant chain, has opened a location in Northridge. The new outpost, at 9035 Reseda Blvd., is Dickey’s 20th location in California.
Office Pickup: Peak Performance has acquired a Calabasas office property for $7.03 million from Arden Realty Inc. Peak plans to occupy more than half of the 41,321-square-foot building at 26025 Mureau Road and lease the remainder.
