Aecom Technology Corp. on Friday said it has acquired Capital Engineering Corp., an environmental and engineering consultancy firm in Taiwan.
Capital Engineering, which is based in Taipei, provides public and private sector clients with engineering consulting services related to water treatment and management, industrial park development and environmental impact studies. It was founded in 1988 and has 160 employees.
Aecom Chief Executive John M. Dionisio said the acquisition expands his Pasadena engineering services company’s global footprint in new and emerging markets. The company has about 45,000 employees worldwide and does business in more than 130 countries.
Capital Engineering “will serve as a natural fit within Aecom’s global environment and water practices,” said Dionisio in a statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Shares were up 23 cents, or 1 percent, to $21.30 in midday trading on the New York Stock Exchange.
