Healthy Exchange: CytRx Corp., a Brentwood-based oncology-focused biopharmaceutical company, will sell back 675,000 RXi Pharmaceuticals Corp. common shares to the Worcester, Mass., biopharmaceutical company in a deal valued at $3.8 million. The deal also allows CytRx to sell back an additional 135,000 shares to RXi.

Moved In: Belkin International Inc., a maker of cables for electronic products, has consolidated its Compton and Hollywood offices in its new Playa Vista headquarters. The company is now based in 150,000 square feet in two building on the Campus at Playa Vista.

Making the Call: OpenGate Capital LLC, a Century City equity firm, has acquired Philips Business Communications, a Sao Paolo, Brazil-based telecommunications company. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Retail Launch: Primestor Development Inc., a Beverly Hills-based real estate developer, has opened its Plaza Del Sol shopping center in South El Monte. The 128,600-square-foot retail center is at the corners of Durfee Avenue and Thienes Street, and includes a Marshalls clothing store and CVS drugstore.

WESTLAKE VILLAGE

More Credit: LTC Properties Inc., a Westlake Village real estate investment trust, has secured a $30 million increase in its line of credit from Bank of America, giving LTC a total credit line of $110 million. LTC invests in long-term care and other health care-related facilities through mortgage loans, facility-lease transactions and other investments.

Positive Buzz: Electro Rent Corp., a Van Nuys-based renter of electronic testing equipment, has won the auction bidding for the equipment of bankrupt Telogy LLC, a Union City renter of electronic testing equipment. The $26.7 million purchase price will be adjusted based on inventory changes since Sept. 30.

CHATSWORTH

New Titles: Image Entertainment Inc., a Chatsworth entertainment distribution company, has reached a deal to distribute titles from London-based Handmade Films. Handmade titles, including 1981’s “Time Bandits” and 1986’s “Mona Lisa,” will be made available for the first time via digital download and on Blu-ray discs.
