KB Home may sell its stake in its Paris homebuilding division, the French newspaper La Tribune reported.
The Los Angeles homebuilder may sell its entire 49 percent stake in Kaufman & Broad SA, the largest homebuilder in Paris. The potential buyer would be an investment firm and not a competing homebuilder, according to the report.
KB Home, the nation’s fifth-largest homebuilder, posted its first quarterly loss in more than a decade last month, with its operations in France being one of the few bright spots amid a declining domestic market.
Shares in KB Home were down $1.36, or 2.8 percent, to $46.55 in afternoon trading Monday on the New York Stock Exchange.
