L.A. Gas Dips to $3.32

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in the Los Angeles area declined for a third week although at slower rate, dropping 2.3 cents to $3.321 for the week ended June 5, according to the Energy Information Administration.


L.A. prices are still 94 cents higher than they were a year ago. Statewide, prices were flat, rising 0.03 cents from the previous week to $3.269, still up almost 91 cents from a year earlier. Nationwide, prices reversed a two-week decline, rising 2.5 cents to $2.892, up nearly 78 cents from a year ago.


The agency also revised its Los Angeles average for the week of May 22 to $3.385 from an initial $3.232.
