Crude Oil Prices Sag, but Still Above $53

Crude futures fell Tuesday on signals that OPEC will maintain its current production output at its upcoming meeting in Iran.


Light sweet crude was down 29 cents, fetching $53.60 by afternoon in Europe on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Prices for heating oil edged down to $1.4820 a gallon. Brent crude on the International Petroleum Exchange was down 59 cents at $51.50 a barrel.
