Designer Turns Relationships Into New Business for Firm

The creation of lasting business relationships has been essential to Henry Rosenblit’s career in design. It started from the time he helped create a catalogue for an aerospace fastening systems company, and it has continued in recent assignments with corporations like JBL Professional and Steelcase Inc.

As new director of business development for Chase Design Group, a creative agency that comes up with logos for companies, Rosenblit will have the opportunity to use the skills and connections he has developed over the years to attract customers.

“I take time to learn about the clients I have come to work with and their company and their client base,” he said. “I want to understand where they are and where they are going.”

In late March, during an interim phase with Chase, Rosenblit was involved in bringing on Procter & Gamble for a packaging redesign.

Rosenblit’s role with Chase became permanent in June. He most recently held the position of vice president of business development for Richard Holbrook Design, an industrial product design company in Pasadena. His resume primarily has been related to manufacturing, engineering, and industrial product design and development.

Rosenblit came to Chase Design after a mutual friend introduced him to Margo Chase, the company’s founder and executive creative director.

Rosenblit is developing a list of prospective clients and says he would like Chase to branch out into restaurant and retail design. “There is an emotional connection when you walk into a store and see a brand on the shelf,” he said. “That’s going to impact you in some way. It’s a legacy that designers can leave.”

In his downtime, Rosenblit plays golf, collects art and listens to music: “I listen to a pretty big range, from rock ‘n’ roll to R & B.; Some new-age and hip-hop is actually quite interesting.”
