Pacific Resource Credit Union hired Angela Alberti as director of branch services and sales, overseeing the Bunker Hill and Wilshire branches in downtown Los Angeles. Alberti was previously branch manager for UnoCal Federal Credit Union.


Consulting
AlixPartners, a corporate advisory firm, appointed George Hughes as a director in the firm's Los Angeles office. Prior to joining AlixPartners, Hughes was a principal with A.T. Kearney.


Education
The Literacy Network of Greater Los Angeles named Jennifer Boxer executive director of the network. Boxer was formerly executive director of the Children's Museum at La Habra.


Entertainment
Mark Itkin, Warren N. Lieberfarb and Richard B. Lippin were named to the Los Angeles board of the Museum of Television and Radio. Itkin is executive vice president, worldwide head of syndication, cable and nonfiction programming at the William Morris Agency. Lieberfarb is chairman of Lieberfarb & Associates and Lippin is chief executive and founder of the Lippin Group.


National Lampoon Inc., a Los Angeles-based feature film, television programming and book publishing firm, named Sara Rutenberg executive vice president of business affairs. Rutenberg was under contract to National Lampoon before the appointment.


Government
Sidney Greathouse and David Huebner Los Angeles and Pamela Hemminger of La Canada-Flintridge were appointed to the California Law Revision Commission. Greathouse is director of legal services for Cheesecake Factory Inc. Huebner is chairman and chief executive of Coudert Brothers, an international law firm specializing in commercial law. Hemminger is a partner in the law firm of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher LLP.


Delia Soto of Santa Monica was appointed deputy director of communications and legislation for the state of California's Council on Developmental Disabilities. She previously served as the marketing and development director for Penny Lane Centers.


Sanjay Kumar, Craig J. Mitchell and Alex Ricciardulli have been appointed as judges in Los Angeles County Superior Court. Kumar is court commissioner in the Los Angeles County Superior Court in the criminal court section. Mitchell is a deputy district attorney in the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office, handling child abuse and murder cases. Ricciardulli is deputy public defender for the Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office, handling misdemeanor and felony trials and criminal appeals.


Health
Health Net Inc. named Maurice Hebert corporate controller of the company. Hebert was previously with Safeco Corp. as senior vice president/controller and principal accounting officer.


Insurance
Crouse and Associates named Shawn Hecker broker/underwriter in the firm's Los Angeles office. Hecker was previously at Partners Specialty in Santa Monica. Crouse and Associates is an independently owned wholesale brokerage firm headquartered in San Francisco.


NAS Insurance Services appointed Robert T. Speak vice president of the new miscellaneous E & O; facility. Speak was previously vice president of Partners Specialty Group. NAS Insurance Services is an underwriting manager based in Encino.

Brown Winfield & Canzoneri Inc. named Wendy Glenn shareholder in the firm's real estate transactional group Glenn was most recently a shareholder of Steefel Levitt & Weiss.


Bill O'Brien was named partner in Alschuler Grossman Stein & Kahan LLP's patent litigation group. O'Brien was formerly co-chair of O'Melveny & Myers LLP's patent and technology litigation group.


Manufacturing
FutureLogic Inc., a Glendale-based manufacturer of thermal printers for the gaming, parking, medical and agricultural industries, promoted Nick Micalizzi to vice president of sales and marketing. Micalizzi was formerly director of gaming at FutureLogic.


Avery Dennison Corp., a Pasadena-based office products company, promoted Daniel R. O'Bryant to executive vice president, finance and chief financial officer. O'Bryant was formerly senior vice president, finance and chief financial officer.


Media
Blur Studio named Norn Kittiaksorn creative director of the firm. Kittiaksorn was previously senior designer at the studio.


Non-Profit
The La Habra Family Resource Center, a health-care advocacy group, appointed Juan Martinez manager of operations at its center in La Habra. Martinez previously served as director of educational services for the Boys and Girls Clubs of La Habra/Brea.


Real Estate
Grubb & Ellis Co., a provider of real estate services, named Gary Cohen senior vice president and managing director of its North Los Angeles office. Cohen was formerly a portfolio-leasing manager at Arden Realty Inc.


Michael Choy was promoted to vice president, manager, of the Glendale National Title Services office of Stewart Title Guaranty Co. He will continue his responsibilities as an underwriter in the company.


Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Brokerage Co. named Jeffrey Goldman regional manager of the firm's West Los Angeles office. Goldman was previously regional manager of the firm's Long Beach office and will continue his duties as director of the firm's National Retail Group in the western United States. Justin White was named regional manager of Marcus & Millichap's Long Beach office. He was previously a sales manager at the firm.
