Stroh, chairman of Stroh Brewery Co. in Detroit, said the 128-year-old beer maker would launch its top two brews in Southern California with an $8.5 million advertising blitz while plowing another $10 million into the Van Nuys brewery it acquired while taking over Jon Schlitz Brewing Co. in 1982.
