Singer, Lewak, Greenbaum & Goldstein LLP has announced three promotions. Jeff Kalina has been promoted to supervisor of the accounting department, Erika Joseph has been named supervisor in the firm's SEC department, and Chris Klapperich has been promoted in the firm's tax department.
Michael J. Daugherty has been named executive vice president at the Aerospace Corp. He will continue to serve as senior vice president of the Space Systems Group.
Mark Shahriary has been named executive vice president of Hughes Space and Communications Co. He will lead the day-to-day operations of the company. Previously, Shahriary oversaw planning and manufacturing support for the company's new customers.
Albert Croft of the Los Angeles office of Nadel Architects Inc. has been promoted to vice president. He has served as principal-in-charge for many retail projects, including Brentwood Gardens and One Westside.

Clyde E. Kendzierski has been appointed vice president and fixed-income section manager at Sanwa Bank California. In his new position, he will oversee investment sales, money-market trading and capital markets within the bank's treasury services department and will be based in the Los Angeles headquarters. Previously, he served as managing director of Financial Solutions Group, where he managed fixed-income and equity portfolios.
Francis P. Shanahan will serve as interim president and chief executive of Pasadena-based Community Bank. He is currently chairman of the bank's board.
Henry Bryan has joined George Smith Partners Inc. in Century City as head of the estate loan lending division. He formerly specialized in real estate loans with First Federal Bank in Santa Monica.
Matt Gerald, Nicole Luiso, and Matthew White have joined the Century City branch of Prudential Securities Inc. as financial advisors. Gerald comes to Prudential Securities from Howe, Salomon, & Hall, a municipal bond firm in Miami, where he was a broker. Luiso was previously with the New York office of ComVest Partners Inc., a Dallas-based institutional investment firm. White was formerly with PaineWebber's Beverly Hills office as an investment executive.
Ake Almgren has been appointed president and chief executive of Tarzana-based Capstone Turbine Corp. Prior to his appointment, Almgren served as business area manager for distribution transformers at ABB. Capstone Turbine Corp. is a developer of power-generating systems.
David C. Edwards has joined the Metropolitan Water District as director of information technology, heading up the newly formed Information Technology Service Co. His responsibilities will include telecommunications, business applications services, information technology planning, information technology operations and customer support. Edwards previously served as director of information and technology at the Los Angeles Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
Maria Angeletti and Jill Lerner have both been promoted to the position of senior vice president of corporate affairs at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Angeletti will continue to serve as assistant secretary of MGM and will oversee the company's political activities and organizational matters. Lerner will continue to be responsible for employment practices and disputes and related matters for the company and will serve as a liaison with the MPAA.
Ellen Burditt has been named senior vice president of Mandalay Television Pictures. She will oversee the development and production of long-form television projects and will also serve as a supervising producer on several projects. Before joining Mandalay, Burditt was senior vice president of Cosgrove-Meurer Productions.
Patricia Frith has been named director of corporate and international publicity for E! Entertainment Television. She will work with the company's international development, affiliate relations, advertising sales, and marketing departments, with a primary focus on building the E! brand nationally and internationally. Prior to joining E!, Frith served as director of entertainment public relations for Encore Media Group.
Larry Hariton has been promoted to senior vice president of direct account management with Universal Music & Video Distribution. He will be responsible for overseeing UMVD's category and vendor-managed services, merchandising support and customer service. He was previously vice president of direct retail planning and category management for UMVD.
Roger Toll has been promoted to executive vice president and associate general counsel of Columbia Pictures based in Culver City. Toll will head the legal department jointly with Liz Aschenbrenner, who holds the same title. They are responsible for negotiating and drafting all motion picture production and distribution agreements for the studio, oversight of contracts, and all other legal issues relating to the development, production and distribution of Columbia movies. Toll was previously vice president of legal affairs.
Stephen B. Ste. Marie has been appointed chief executive of CareerPath.com, a career resource site on the Internet. He will be responsible for creating brand awareness and forging relationships with new affiliates. He joins CareerPath.com after six years at DirecTV Inc., where he was senior vice president.
Richard A. Holt has been promoted to vice president and director of professional services in the Los Angeles office of Lee Hecht Harrison. He will oversee the delivery of quality career services to local organizations and executives. He was formerly a senior consultant with the firm.
Andrew Spathis was named executive vice president of operations and development at the Estrin Organization, a firm specializing in the placement of contract attorneys and paralegals and computerized litigation support. He will oversee the day-to-day operations of its Los Angeles and Costa Mesa offices. Also, Kevin J. Behan has been promoted to national director of the firm. He will direct national sales efforts and will oversee the sales staff in the Los Angeles and Costa Mesa offices. He served as an administrator at the Los Angeles office of White & Case before joining Estrin.
Cindy Chong was promoted to vice president at Donahue Schriber, the developer/owner/manager of Glendale Galleria and other shopping centers. Chong will continue her duties as the general manager of Glendale Galleria. Before joining Donahue Schriber, Chong worked for May Centers Inc., managing various malls in the Los Angeles area.
Genevieve Silberman was appointed managing director of the Los Angeles office of Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide. She was formerly the deputy general manager and director of client service at Golin/Harris.
Louise Kertesz has been named director of research and editorial services at Fischer & Partners, a health care marketing and communications firm based in Marina del Rey. She was formerly the Los Angeles bureau chief of Modern Healthcare magazine.
Wolfgang V. Kupka has been named chief executive and president of Vista Realty Advisors, a Los Angeles-based partnership representing individual and institutional clients in the investment of commercial real estate. Previously, he served as director of financial services for Cushman & Wakefield.
James L. Fleshood has been named vice president of field operations, Western U.S. region, for Pinkerton's Inc. He will be based in Burbank. Fleshood began his career with Pinkerton's in 1987 when it acquired the Las Vegas-based security company he had founded. Most recently, Fleshood was vice president of field operations of Pinkerton's North-Central region.
Dwight Gould has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing for Van Nuys-based RightSide Up. In addition, Candi Torrijos has accepted the position of director, sales and marketing. She will head the health care division. Most recently, she was director of customer service for BPS Healthcare.
