Michael Schantz has been named vice president at TRI Capital Corp. Schantz will serve as regional manager for Southern California business development and will be based in the company’s Los Angeles office. He previously served as principal at Real Estate Advisory Services.

Entertainment

Heidi Atherton has been promoted to manager of programming and development at Dick Clark Productions Inc. Atherton will be responsible for creating and developing new projects for network, syndication and cable television. She previously was assistant to the senior vice president of programming.

Leah Weil has been promoted to senior vice president at Culver City-based Sony Pictures Entertainment. Weil will work in the legal division as deputy general counsel of the company, overseeing corporate and international legal activities. She previously served as vice president of the company’s legal division.

Louis Feola has been named president of the newly created Universal Family & Home Entertainment Production division of Universal City-based Universal Studios Inc. Feola will be responsible for the development and production of direct-to-video product. He previously served as president of Universal Studios Home Video.

David Pearson has been promoted to senior vice president of operations at Burbank-based Warner Bros. International Theatres. Pearson will be responsible for all operational matters pertaining to the company’s theater chains, from performance to human resources to marketing. He previously was vice president of operations.

Food

Steve Heeley has been named vice president at Torrance-based Louise’s Trattoria. Heeley will be in charge of company operations. He formerly served as president and chief executive at Simco Group.

Health Care

Woodland Hills-based Blue Cross of California, a subsidiary of WellPoint Health Networks Inc. has named two new vice presidents. Robert Seidman, vice president of pharmacy, will be responsible for the management of all pharmacy-related services and programs for the company. Joan R. Sofen, vice president of systems for the company’s individual and small-group services division, will be responsible for managing systems support and new systems development.

Woodland Hills-based WellPoint Health Networks Inc. has named two new vice presidents. Robert Radley, vice president of corporate data and technical services, will be responsible for managing the data center operations of the company. Vince Williams, vice president of dental operations, will be responsible for membership contracts.

Judith Miller has been promoted to vice president at Long Beach-based Scan Health Plan. Miller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s provider services department. She previously served as director of network development.

Thomas E. Jones has been named chief executive at Chatsworth-based Chad Therapeutics Inc. Jones, previously vice chairman, will take over for the retiring Charles R. Adams, who will step down as chief executive at the close of the company’s fiscal year on March 31. Adams will remain chairman.

Insurance

Andrew M. Rosenfeld has been promoted to president at Beverly Hills-based Canon Insurance Service. Rosenfeld, previously executive vice president, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the company. He replaces William B. Rosenfeld, who will continue serving as a principal and chairman. Robert N. Rosenfeld will assume the position of executive vice president.

Law

The Century City-based law firm of Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger LLP has promoted four associates to partners. Elisabeth A. Basini, Patricia A. Millet and Edward N. Sabin will focus on litigation. Jeffrey A. Krieger will focus on bankruptcy.

Jonathan C. Lurie has been joined the law firm of McDermott, Will & Emery in its Los Angeles office. Lurie will be a member of the firm’s estate planning department. He formerly was a partner at Hoffmann, Sabban & Watenmaker.

Media

Cindy Freedland has been promoted to director of advertising at the Los Angeles Times. Freedland will oversee advertising in the various editions of the newspaper. She previously was advertising manager.

Real Estate

Bruce Harrigan has been named vice president of infrastructure engineering and construction at Los Angeles-based Playa Capital Co. Harrigan will oversee design and construction projects for the Playa Vista project. He previously served as principal at Real Property Engineering.

Scott Kingsmore has been named vice president of financial planning at Santa Monica-based Macerich Co. Kingsmore will be responsible for expanding and improving the real estate investment trust’s budgeting and forecasting process. He previously served as group controller.

Randy J. Noblitt has been named senior vice president of asset management at Arden Realty Inc. in Beverly Hills. He formerly served as director of management services at Cushman & Wakefield.

Daniel M. Bryant has been promoted to vice president of asset management at Valencia-based Newhall Land and Farming Co. Bryant will oversee all company commercial properties, including apartments, shopping centers and office buildings. He previously was director of asset management.

Tourism

Jack Naderkhani has been named general manager at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills hotel. Naderkhani will oversee all daily hotel operations. He previously was general manager of L’Ermitage and Le Petit Ermitage hotels. Also, Alison Brainard has been named director of sales and marketing at L’Ermitage Beverly Hills. Brainard will oversee sales and marketing projects. She previously served as director of sales and marketing at Westwood Marquis.

David A. Thompson has been promoted to vice president and assistant controller at Beverly Hills-based Hilton Hotels Corp. Thompson will be responsible for the company’s internal and external financial reporting functions. He previously served as assistant controller.
