Accounting

James Northern has joined PricewaterhouseCoopers as regional service line leader of the firm's Western region deployment service practice in Los Angeles. His responsibilities include technology consulting to the middle market, and information technology assessments. Previously, Northern served as partner for the former Coopers & Lybrand office in Minneapolis.

Architecture

Bruce Colbert has joined EIP Associates as project manager. He specializes in large, multi-disciplinary planning projects. Previously, Colbert was a planner with Cotton/Beland Associates. Also, Cynthia D'Agosta has joined the firm as senior planner. She will be managing open-space park planning projects in Southern California. Prior to joining, D'Agosta was a landscape architect at Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy.

Thomas Donnelly has been promoted to senior vice president at Calabasas-based Valley Crest. He will take on a greater administrative role, supervising divisional activities for all Valley Crest operations throughout the nation. Donnelly has been with the firm since 1980.

Bharat Patel has been promoted to mechanical/electrical/plumbing group manager in the Los Angeles office of Daniel, Mann, Johnson & Mendenhall. His responsibilities include ensuring that budget, schedules and quality standards are met, and also coordinating with DMJM offices nationwide in order to increase the availability of engineering resources. Patel has over 20 years experience in engineering, construction and management.

Tadd Russikoff has been promoted to vice president of Calabasas-based Valley Crest Tree Co. He will focus on strategic and long-range planning, and will continue to serve the division as branch manager, a position he has held since 1995.

Aviation

Fred Allega has been named regional director of the Western region for Mercury Air Group. He will manage half of the fixed-base operations for the company, including all six in California and one in Reno.

Banking & Finance

James Connor has joined Los Angeles-based Renaissance Cos. as senior vice president and chief operating officer. He will oversee the day-to-day operations of Renaissance Realty Advisors and Renaissance Capital. Previously, Connor was vice president of real estate services for Capital Financial Consultants Inc.

Paul Legvold has joined Wilshire Associates Inc. as senior vice president. He will be responsible for the firm's global marketing. Prior to joining, Legvold was managing director of global investment managing at Bankers Trust.

Jay Wintrob has been elected chief operating officer of SunAmerica Inc. He will have executive management responsibility for substantially all of the company's staff functions. Wintrob is also president of SunAmerica Investments.

Biotech

Chad Therapeutics has announced a management shuffle in anticipation of the future retirement of President and Chief Operating Officer Frank Fleming. Chief Executive Thomas E. Jones will take on the additional title of president, while Fleming has become senior vice president. Fleming will focus on sales and marketing. Earl Yager, chief financial officer, has been given the additional title of executive vice president.

Construction

Paul Phillips has been appointed Western regional manager for Pacific Western Technologies. He will be responsible for developing business and managing all operations. Prior to joining, Phillips was principal of Greenleaf Consulting Group.

Consulting

Howard Cooper has joined the Sherman Oaks office of Management Action Programs as an executive consultant. He will be responsible for providing consulting services, specializing in marketing, finance and operations. Prior to joining, Cooper served as president/CEO, chairman and founder of Trimedyne Inc.

Education

Russell Paquette has joined California State University Northridge's College of Extended Learning as director of marketing services and advertising. He will develop new markets and promote university extension courses throughout the Los Angeles area. Most recently, Paquette served as director of publications at Loyola Marymount University.

Entertainment

Ann Benjamin has joined the Jewish Television Network as vice president of development and marketing. She will spearhead all financial developments and marketing efforts on a national basis. Previously, Benjamin was in the national corporate sponsorship department at KCET-TV Channel 28.

Scott Brown has been promoted to general manager for Club Disney Thousand Oaks. He will be lead a management team and work on the day-to-day operations of the site. Brown has been with Disney for over 12 years, most recently as assistant general manager for Club Disney West Covina.

Sarah Lesch has been promoted to vice president of marketing for E! Online. She will oversee development of national public relations, advertising and promotions campaigns to market E! Online, Moviefinder, shop.eonline.com and future spin-off online services to users and advertisers. Prior to joining, Lesch spent six years at the Lippin Group, most recently as vice president. Also, Mark Rosch has been promoted to vice president of E! Entertainment Television Networks. He will be responsible for all aspects of domestic and international publicity for E! and the new Style Network. Prior to joining, Rosch served as vice president of Weissman/Angellotti.

Paul Spadone has been named vice president of series television for Davis Entertainment. His responsibilities include developing original dramas and comedies for network television under Davis Entertainment's multi-year agreement with Twentieth Century Fox. Most recently, Spadone served as manager of current programming and development for UPN.

Health Care

Sam Ocampo has been promoted to administrative director of marketing and business development for Glendale Adventist Medical Center. His responsibilities include strategic planning and development, physician relations and development, marketing and communications, and Adventist Health Advantage, the hospital's program for the elderly. Most recently, Ocampo was manager of strategic planning for Adventist Health/Southern California.

Law

Troop Steuber Pasich Reddick & Tobey has admitted six attorneys to the partnership level. Julie Kaufer and Linda Michaelson are members of the corporate and corporate securities group in the firm's business department; Linda Kornfeld is a member of the firm's litigation department; Christine Samsel is a member of the labor and employment group within the firm's litigation department; Jeffrey Resler concentrates his practice in bankruptcy, corporate reorganization and general commercial law; and Michael Rossi is a member of the firm's risk management legal services group.

Jack Frydrych has joined Silver & Freedman as of counsel. He will continue his practice with multinational business planning, technology licensing, employment matters, trade secrets and related litigation. In addition, J. Michael Webster has joined as partner and head of the firm's product liability and risk management department. He will continue representing individuals, partnerships, corporations and international companies in all phases of litigation. Frydrych and Webster have joined as a result of the merger of their firm, Frydrych & Webster Inc., with Silver & Freedman.

Linda Miller has joined the Los Angeles office of Carroll, Burdick & McDonough LLP as partner. She will focus her practice on insurance coverage litigation and counseling. Previously, Miller managed the Los Angeles office of Miller, Christerson and McNaboe.

Michael Santoro has joined the real estate group at Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler LLP as partner. He focuses his practice in real estate structured finance transactions as well as general real estate and commercial matters. Previously, Santoro was a partner with the L.A. office of Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft.

Manufacturing

Scott Rubenstein has joined the sales and marketing team at Uncle Milton Industries Inc. as national sales manager, specialty markets. He will handle the company's independent specialty toy, gift, pet and educational market accounts in addition to overseeing the company's specialty sales force.

Real Estate

Bob Verna has been promoted to sales manager of the Fred Sands Beverly Center office. He will be responsible for agent recruitment and advisement, and for overseeing the sales activities of the Beverly Center office. Most recently, Verna was associate manager of the firm's Encino office.

Retail

Bret Parsons has been appointed manager of the J. Robert Scott showroom in Los Angeles. His responsibilities include managing the showroom and moving the current operation into a new facility that will debut March 10. Most recently, Parsons was director of business development and media relations at Pacific Design Center.
