Political analyst and former Clinton White House press secretary Dee Dee Myers has been named as the head of worldwide corporate communications at Warner Bros., the company announced Wednesday.

Myers will begin her position with the Burbank studio on Sept. 2 and will report to Kevin Tsujihara, chief executive of Warner Bros. Entertainment. Myers replaces Sue Fleishman who had been with Warner Bros. for nine years.

Myers will handle the studio’s corporate communications strategies and activities on a worldwide basis, including media relations, executive communications, corporate responsibility and philanthropy.

Myers brings a creative and strategic mindset to communications and public positioning, Tsujihara said.

“Her engaging and collaborative demeanor paired with her acute understanding of how to engage constituencies will help us strengthen our position as the leading global studio,” Tsujihara said in a prepared statement.

Myers was press secretary during President Bill Clinton’s first term and later worked as a political analyst, commentator and writer as well as a contributing editor to Vanity Fair. She will re-locate to Los Angeles from Washington, D.C.
