NBC Universal Television Entertainment Chairman Jeff Gaspin confirmed Monday that he will depart NBC Universal following the conclusion of the company’s merger with Comcast.
The Hollywood Reporter reported last week that there was no role for Gaspin in the reorganized company and that he would be leaving the company.
Former Showtime programming chief Robert Greenblatt is expected to take charge of the broadcast network and television production company. Cable executives Bonnie Hammer and Lauren Zalaznick are expected to have expanded roles running the company’s other channels, and Ted Harbert, president and CEO of the Comcast Entertainment Group, is expected to oversee sales, stations and affiliates.
