Saban Brands has signed global publishing deal with Random House Children’s Books for an interactive collection of books inspired by its preschool television series featuring the popular Julius Jr. monkey character.
The affiliate of Los Angeles billionaire Haim Saban’s Saban Capital Group said Sunday that the books will be available beginning this fall under Random House imprints.
“The Julius Jr. series will be a natural fit with young readers and we’re happy to share the fantastic adventures of Julius Jr. and his friends through visual storytelling,” Elie Dekel, Saban Brands, said in a statement.
Saban Brands bought rights to the Julius family of characters created by Paul Frank in 2010.
