Pocket.watch, a content creator and IP company for children and families, announced this month that its ad-free subscription video on demand — SVOD — program “Ryan and Friends Plus” is coming to Comcast Corp.’s Xfinity platform this summer.

The Culver City-based content creation company said the move will bring “Ryan and Friends Plus” to more than 16 million Comcast customers, building on the success the show has experienced on Amazon.com Inc.’s Prime video channels, where its monthly active subscribers exceed six figures, according to a release from pocket.watch.

That ranks it behind only a handful of other services, which are all backed by media conglomerates: Disney+, Noggin from Paramount, PBS Kids, and Discovery Kids, the company said.

Chris M. Williams, founder and chief executive of pocket.watch, said that “Ryan and Friends Plus” has become the company’s marquee SVOD offering and is the most-subscribed independent kids and family SVOD service in the country.

“In working with one of the largest media companies in the world, we’re proud to offer parents more of what their kids love while ensuring the highest quality content that is both fun and enriching for children,” Williams added.

Starring 11-year-old YouTube star Ryan Kaji, “Ryan and Friends Plus” is billed by pocket.watch as the “ultimate destination for Ryan fans, with a universe of live action and animated series starring Ryan and other top kid-creators from YouTube.”

With more than 3,400 episodes, including exclusive “Ryan’s World” premieres, specials and original series with the biggest creator-stars of the pocket.watch universe — including “Kids Diana Show,” starring Eva Diana Kidisyuk, an Ukrainian-American Youtuber; “Toys and Colors,” featuring three sisters named Wendy, Jannie, and Emma; “KidCity” and more — the service currently offers over 500 hours of content with 16 new hours being added every month, the company said.
