Entravision Communications Corp. has purchased BCNMonetize, a Spanish company in the mobile app-marketing space.

Terms of the deal between the Santa Monica-based company and BCNMonetize, which is based in  Barcelona, were not disclosed.

The acquisition expands Entravision’s geographic presence in Spain and into Turkey, a new market for the company, with an international team of mobile marketing experts.

BCNMonetize provides mobile-user acquisition, retention strategies and customer engagement products in the mobile app market. BCNMonetize’s solutions appeal to brands around the world, with over 100 clients in verticals including e-commerce, entertainment and gaming, according Entravision.

Chris Young, interim chief executive of Entravision, said that the company welcomes BCNMonetize and its team of specialists as it furthers its commitment to be a preferred growth partner for brands in more than 40 countries.

The acquisition bolsters Entravision’s sales execution capabilities and keeps the company capitalizing on the thriving global app market, which is expected to reach mobile app user spending of $613 billion in 2025, Young said.

Emre Atalay, co-founder and chief executive of BCNMonetize, said the company was excited to join the Entravision team as it continues to provide solutions for mobile app marketers around the world.

“I am confident the combination of our expertise and Entravision’s technology, scale and international presence will deliver best-in-class results for our brands and clients,” Atalay said.

Entravision was founded in 1996 by the late Walter F. Ulloa, who was serving as chief executive at the time of his death from a heart attack in December last year.

The company operates under three divisions – digital, TV and audio – and serves advertisers from various industries including e-commerce, retail, entertainment, and gaming.
