The Daily Journal Corp. on Tuesday said that it has acquired most of the operating assets and liabilities of ISD Corp., which provides legal case management systems to courts and other governmental agencies.

The Los Angeles publisher of legal newspapers and websites said that Ron Beach, ISD’s president, will continue to manage the operations of the new subsidiary, ISD Technologies Inc.

The acquisition augments Daily Journal’s other case management businesses that serve courts, prosecutors, public defenders and other justice agencies: Sustain Technologies Inc. and New Dawn Technologies Inc.

Daily Journal shares closed down 15 cents, or less than 1 percent, to $135.75 on the Nasdaq.
