Warner Bros. Entertainment announced on Monday a restructuring of the office handling the studio’s relations with trade unions and guilds.
The Burbank studio’s labor relations operations will now come under the corporate legal department and will headed up by Hank Lachmund who was promoted to executive vice president, industrial relations. He reports to John Rogovin, executive vice president and general counsel.
Lachmund has been with Warner Bros. more than 30 years and had been senior vice president, labor relations prior to his promotion. He serves on multiple industry-related boards, including the pension and health plans of the Producer-Directors Guild of America and Producer-Writers Guild of America.
Additionally, Stephen Carroll was promoted to senior vice president, labor relations with a focus on film-related issues, and Sam Wolfson was promoted to senior vice president, labor relations with a focus on television. Silisha Sidell, vice president, labor relations, Warner Bros. Studio Facilities, will continue to focus primarily on studio facility-related issues.
Carroll joined the studio in 2006 and had been vice president, labor relations prior to his promotion. Wolfson began his career at Warner Bros in 1993 as director, labor relations for Warner Bros. Television.
“Labor relations is our voice in the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers and plays a critical role in maintaining stable and respectful relationships with the industry’s unions and guilds,” said Warner Bros. Chief Executive Kevin Tsujihara in a press release announcing the promotions.
