Anschutz Entertainment Group and Regal Cinemas have partnered with Belgian digital projector manufacturer Barco to transform the existing Regal Cinemas at L.A. Live into a cutting-edge technological facility.
One auditorium in the complex will feature Barco’s panoramic, three-screen projection system known as Barco Escape, while two auditoriums will feature Barco’s most advanced laser projector. All screens will be outfitted with laser projection by the end of the year. Some auditoriums will also be equipped with advanced immersive sound technology from Barco and Auro Technologies, also of Belgium.
The complex, renamed as Regal L.A. Live: A Barco Innovation Center, will open to the public on April 1.
