Production of movies, TV shows and commercials was up 15 percent year-to-year in the Los Angeles region last year, according to non-profit tabulator Film L.A.
According to the group, there were 43,646 permitted production days in Los Angeles last year, compared to 37,979 counted for 2009, which was one of the worst years on record for regional filmed entertaiment production.
Film L.A. attributed the uptick in feature and television production directly to state film and TV tax incentives.
