Santa Monica-based Jakks Pacific Inc. has secured a multiyear licensing deal with Walt Disney Co. to manufacture toys for “The Incredibles” animated movies franchise, the company announced Wednesday.

The news comes after Jakks told its investors this month that it was expecting a net loss for 2017 stemming from the Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection filing by Toy R Us, which carries Jakks products.

The agreement with Burbank-based Disney will see the toy manufacturer make and distribute action figures and accessories, including mini-figures, collectible figures, playsets, interactive toys, preschool toys, and role-play and dress-up accessories, the company said. The transactional value of the deal was undisclosed.

“We’re thrilled to extend our relationship with Disney and be named the master toy licensee for The Incredibles franchise,” Stephen Berman, chief executive of Jakks, said in a statement. “We are looking forward to working with the remarkable storytellers at Pixar and Disney to bring The Incredibles characters to life through a variety of toys and other consumer products for a new generation of kids.”
